Ongoing In-Person Yoga at VIEW - Yoga instructor Anita Black leads a class for a multi-level gentle yoga class to sooth and nurture mind, body and spirit. The practice will include a short seated centering with breath-work followed by a gentle warm up sequence. The heart of the practice will include multiple yoga poses (ASANAS) for strength and flexibility. Finally, enjoy cool down poses and a guided relaxation. It is helpful to have a yoga mat and a blanket if available. Wear comfortable loose fitting or stretchy clothing. Anita offers two sessions a week: Mondays 5:30 - 6:30 pm, and Saturdays 10- 11am. Open to all levels. Classes are $10 per session and can be purchased ahead online or in person with cash.

Ongoing Old Forge Social Service Outreach & Health Insurance Sign-up - 10am-2pm at the Town Offices. Need Health Insurance or Social Service assistance? Certified NYS Navigators are available to help you enroll through the NY State Health Marketplace the last Thursday of each month in the Town of Webb Board Room at the Visitor Information Center in Old Forge. They will also be available to help with Temporary Assistance, SNAP Benefits, Medicaid, Home Energy Assistance (HEAP) and Child Support and Day Care Services referral. Sat Feb 14 Chili Bowl Luncheon - 11am - 3pm at View Arts Center. Pottery sale starts at 10:30am. Choose a hand-crafted bowl (or two!) made by our fabulous local and regional potters (mostly made in our own pottery studio) and try chilis and soups donated by a number of area chefs and restaurants. We will also be hosting a 50/50 raffle. Cast your vote for your favorite chili and a local restaurant will win the "People's Choice Award". An honor which includes the coveted Chili Pepper traveling trophy. The artist-made ceramic bowls range from $15-$45 and include the opportunity to taste the chili. To taste Chili without the purchase of a ceramic bowl it will cost $10. Delectable desserts are included and made by talented local volunteer bakers! Drop off food-drive donations starting on February 9th. Donations can be dropped off between 10am-4pm from February 9th until the conclusion of Chili Bowl on the 14th. All food donations will be delivered to local pantries to help fill bellies and hearts. Join us for this much-loved, hot n' spicy community event!
